These are the Bright Lives.Atlanta Here We Come!
Exciting but in some ways sad news from The Jones camp today; we are leaving the big city and moving back to the place we called home four years ago before coming to New York. Later this summer, after baby #2 arrives, we’ll be packing up our clothes, furniture, kids and memories and resettling in the amazing southern mecca of Atlanta.
We are extremely excited to reunite with our many good friends in the South but also sad to leave our many friends here in NYC. This was neither an easy nor hasty decision for us. We spent months talking about the pros and cons. In the end our desire to raise our family near friends who themselves are starting families and be closer to family was enough to solidify our decision. To simply live in the South again, where we both feel so much warmth and comfort, will be a much needed change of atmosphere.
New York is an amazing place, a truly stunning city that never ceases to amaze me. Unfortunately though, many of those amazing moments are amazing because of the sheer bewilderment I find myself overcome by. I’ve given up trying to figure out why things are the way they are here in New York City. But I’m going to love visiting this place when I no longer call it my home. We leave with many positive memories and many new friends. To those we’re leaving behind, don’t be strangers, come and visit us in Atlanta. Give the South a chance.
Bright Lives is now officially booking weddings and portrait sessions in the South so give us a shout! And stay tuned to this blog and thebrightlives.com for more updates.

In the meantime check out these awesome maps from the Panoramic Maps Collection of the Library of Congress.
